ABOUT THE PROJECT
The team had a big day out at our Petersham site working for Deicorp Properties.
Deicorp Properties is developing an 11-storey apartment building with a new two-storey 3,500sqm RSL at its centre. For this project, we constructed shoring walls for a five-level basement, using our SR30 and SR45 piling rigs from Soilmec.
APG undertakes a full soil investigation and analysis prior to every project commencement to ensure we use the optimal drilling methods and equipment on-site – minimising the disturbance of the surrounding soil & structures while maximising efficiency.
For a project like this, this detailed analysis of geotechnical conditions was essential – as the presence of significant groundwater and high-strength rock presented an additional layer of difficulty to an already challenging project.
The challenge here was maintaining verticality over 18m in high-strength bedrock. Nonetheless, APG rose to the occasion and successfully installed over 160 piles to depth.
