The Soilmec SR-20 forms part of APG’s in-house piling rig fleet, providing a lightweight and manoeuvrable rotary drilling solution for piling, civil and infrastructure projects. Operating at 27 tonnes with 100 kNm of torque, it is well suited to sites where access, ground-bearing capacity or ground conditions limit the use of heavier drilling rigs.
Key Specifications
– Maximum Depth: 40 m+
– Maximum Pile Diameter: 1,200 mm
– Piling Applications: Bored and Cased
– Operating Weight: 27 tonnes
– Maximum Torque: 100 kNm
Capable of drilling to depths exceeding 40 metres, the SR-20 supports bored and cased piling applications with pile diameters up to 1,200 mm. Its compact size and lower operating weight make it particularly effective on soft ground, piling platforms with limited bearing capacity, and clay-dominant site conditions where larger rigs may be less suitable.
The SR-20 is commonly used for standard-diameter bored piling, temporary and permanent steel casing installation, and foundation works across transmission, infrastructure, commercial and industrial projects. Its self-erecting design allows for efficient mobilisation and transport between project sites.
